Horseshoe Tickets Sold Out
May 6, 2008
The University of Illinois athletic ticket office has announced that all 10,000 Memorial Stadium Horseshoe "Red Zone" season tickets have sold out for the second consecutive year. All but approximately 200 tickets were resold during the renewal process, and the remaining were snatched up in only 45 minutes Monday morning. Last season, the Illini sold out Memorial Stadium for four games on their home slate, after reaching capacity in the Horseshoe. Fans still have an opportunity to purchase season tickets for the 2008 season on the sidelines for $225 apiece. The 2008 home schedule includes six games: Sept. 6, Eastern Illinois; Sept. 13, Louisiana-Lafayette; Oct. 11, Minnesota (Homecoming); Oct. 18, Indiana (Foundation Day); Nov. 1, Iowa (Dad's Day); and Nov. 15, Ohio State. Season ticket orders for all areas are currently being accepted and can be placed online at fightingillini.com, by calling 1-866-ILLINI-1 or by visiting the Athletic Ticket Office at the Assembly Hall.
